In the heart of Abilene, the city’s business community gathered for the annual Business Expo hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. The theme for this year’s event was “Business is Out of This World!”, which was reflected in the decor, rocket ships and astronauts scattered throughout the exhibit hall and conference center.
The presenting sponsors, Optimum, Affordacare Urgent Care and Fat Matt Roofing, made their mark with towering stacks of 5-gallon buckets filled with promotional items. Visitors eagerly collected candies, fly-swatters, chip-clips and keychains, along with brochures and business cards in every color imaginable. The abundance of swag was a highlight for many attendees.
Over 3,500 guests attended the expo, including exhibitors and guests at Business After Hours. More than 160 exhibitors and 180 booth spaces were filled, creating a bustling atmosphere as business owners, employees and potential customers roamed the aisles. Conversations sparked, connections were made and old friendships were rekindled amidst the sea of swag and promotional materials.
As visitors navigated through the crowded event trying to balance their bags filled with giveaways one thing was clear: The Abilene business community had come together in a celebration of entrepreneurship, collaboration and networking. The Business Expo was not just a place to collect freebies but a vibrant showcase of the thriving business landscape in Abilene.
