Adonna’s Café and Bakery, located in Downtown Pensacola at 811 W Garden Street, recently reopened after sustaining significant damage from a car crash last month. Thanks to the support of the community, the business was able to repair the damage and welcome customers back through their doors.
Last month, a car traveling westbound on W Garden Street lost control, flipped, and crashed into the business. The impact caused thousands of dollars in damages, including the destruction of the handicap ramp, front door, water pipe, front bricks, and staircases. Serena Thomas, co-owner of Adonna’s Café and Bakery, expressed the importance of these items for the safety of their customers.
Despite the challenges they faced, Adonna’s Café and Bakery shared a message on Facebook announcing their reopening and expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support from their customers. The business is open for customers to enjoy coffee, treats, meals, and to book events. They also offer baked goods for special orders, such as cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops.
Pensacola Police are still investigating the crash and have not made any charges or arrests. The incident is being looked into as a possible DUI case. Adonna’s Café and Bakery looks forward to continuing to serve their community and appreciates the support they have received during this difficult time.
