The Dallas Cowboys have decided to add linebacker Damien Wilson back to their roster, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. Wilson had not been in the league for most of the previous season, but he signed with the Cowboys’ practice squad on Jan. 3. He had served a four-game suspension for violating the Personal Conduct Policy.
Wilson’s last appearance in a game was in Week 18 of the 2022 season with the Panthers. Originally drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round in 2015, Wilson spent his first four seasons in Dallas before playing for Kansas City, Jacksonville, and Carolina.
After the Cowboys drafted Marist Liufau in the third round and needed depth at the linebacker position, they decided to sign Wilson. He is the fourth outside free agent that the Cowboys have added, joining Ezekiel Elliott, Eric Kendricks, and Royce Freeman.
