Get ready to discover the hero within you as the new traveling exhibit, Hall of Heroes, opens at Mid-America Science Museum on Saturday, May 25th. The exhibit is located in the museum’s Hall of Wonder and explores the history and science of superheroes.
Visitors can expect interactive programming, movie props, replicas, and rare artifacts from major motion pictures and television shows, both past and present. Diane LaFollette, CEO of Mid-America Science Museum, is thrilled about the exhibit stating “This is a unique opportunity for visitors to discover the hero within themselves and to explore the timeless ideals of courage, resilience, and selflessness.”
The exhibit will feature a full-scale “half” replica of the iconic 1960’s Barris Kustoms’ Batmobile. Additionally, guests can visit the “Identification Station” to choose one of five superpower disciplines: “Powers of the Body,” “Powers of the Mind,” “Mastery,” “Gadgets,” and the “Elements.” Interactive stations throughout the exhibit allow visitors to explore, learn, and test their skills based on their chosen discipline.
Hall of Heroes will run until Saturday, August 27th and is free for members or included with general admission to the museum. Admission prices are $12 for adults, $10 for children ages 3 to 12, $11 for seniors aged 65 and older or teachers or military personnel. The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM or Sundays from 1 PM to 5 PM. It’s located at Mid-America Science Museum at 500 Mid America Blvd Hot Springs.
