The first quarter of the year saw the total number of subscribers to mobile and fixed telephone services in the Emirates reach 23.81 million, according to recent data from “E&” and “Du”. This is a remarkable growth of 5% compared to the same period last year.
“E&” recorded a significant increase in its subscriber base in the Emirates, reaching 14.5 million subscribers in the first quarter of this year. Meanwhile, “Du” saw an impressive growth of 5.7% in mobile subscribers on an annual basis, with a total of 8.7 million mobile subscribers at the end of the first quarter. Additionally, “Du” also experienced a growth of 11.1% year on year in fixed-line telephone customers, with a total of 616 thousand subscribers at the end of the first quarter.
