Big Bay, Michigan is buzzing with excitement as two new businesses opened their doors on Wednesday afternoon. The businesses, owned separately by father and son team Charlie Drury and Hayden, are Huron Mountain Outfitters and Huron Mountain Ice Cream.
Charlie owns Huron Mountain Outfitters, an outdoor goods store that has a long history in the area. He expressed his excitement about bringing new energy to Big Bay through his business. Meanwhile, Hayden, the new owner of Huron Mountain Ice Cream, is looking forward to making Big Bay a community where people want to return and create family traditions. He hopes to attract campground business and keep kids coming back for years with the hope that they will eventually bring their own children.
The two businesses had a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony in the morning. Both Charlie and Hayden playfully joke about which business will do better, but ultimately they are grateful for each other’s support. They are excited to serve the Big Bay community and contribute to its growth.
