Frank A. Densevich, 84, of Bellefonte, passed away Wednesday. He was born in Atlantic City, N.J., and raised in Altoona. Frank attended Altoona Catholic Higher College, exactly where he played football and created life-lengthy buddies.

In 1960, even though enrolled in the U.S. Army, he married Judy A. Notari and created a household in Staten Island, N.Y. Right after a couple of brief years they moved to Vineland, N.J., and raised their youngsters.

Frank was the manager of Kress Division Retailers and later worked in adult education. Though in Vineland, he was an active member of the Saint Isadore’s Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Vineland Jaycees, an elected member of the Vineland City Council and a fourth degree Knight.

He enjoyed getting a state swimming referee and attending all of his daughters’ events. Frank and Judy spent various hours volunteering. As an active member of the Penn State South Jersey Shore Club, they would raise revenue for a variety of scholarships to Penn State University.

Upon retirement, he and Judy moved to Bellefonte, and became avid PSU season ticket holders for numerous unique sports. Frank joined the St. John’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and was a member of Bellefonte Arranging Board. He also volunteered at Penn State All Sports Museum. He volunteered numerous hours to fundraisers and was in particular loyal to the “Soup and Salad” fundraiser that has now been named immediately after his wife, Judy. He was an avid and active member of the NRA. Frank believed in providing back to his neighborhood quietly and without the need of acknowledgment. He lived his life as a loyal servant to God and church and loved his loved ones deeply, loved his buddies and loved this life.

Surviving are his daughters, Kim (Dan) Lessard and Dana Densevich his grandchildren: Devin Lessard, Kelsey Lessard and Francis Mulligan his sister, Anne Thompson brother, John (Carol) Densevich sister-in-law, Dorothy Densevich and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Judy Densevich his brother, Charles Walter (CW) Densevich and brother-in-law, Bill Thompson.

A Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 Bishop St., Bellefonte, PA.

Arrangements are by Koch Funeral Property, State College.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may well be created to St. John the Evangelist Catholic College in Bellefonte.
