Heather Wilson, the president of UTEP, has been appointed as a member of the National Science Board, which oversees the National Science Foundation. This Foundation recently instructed UTEP to halt work on its Aerospace Center due to concerns with its grant proposal.
When we reached out to UTEP for comment from Heather Wilson regarding her dual roles at UTEP and the NSB, a spokesperson informed us that she was unavailable for an interview as she was traveling.
