The University of Jamestown faced Doane University in a doubleheader, starting with a 2-1 win for the Jimmies over the Tigers at the Nelson Family Bubble on Friday, April 19. The Tigers took an early lead with a sacrifice fly by Anna Prauner that scored Jeryn Allen, putting them up 1-0. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Jimmies responded when Mackenzie Lefebvre hit a double to drive in two runners, giving them a 2-1 lead.
After allowing a run in the sixth inning, Hope Ransome of the Jimmies retired four of the next five hitters. Ransome pitched a complete game, giving up only one run on four hits while striking out six and walking two.
