Science teacher Shannon Sullivan Hudson from Crawfordsville Middle School was recently honored by the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) for her outstanding achievements in science education. The NSTA awards program recognizes exceptional K-12 teachers, principals, professors, and other science education professionals for their contributions to the field.
The awards were presented during a special evening Teacher Awards event at the NSTA National Conference on Science Education in Denver, Colorado, on March 22. NSTA President Julie A. Luft expressed her excitement for recognizing exceptional science educators and a remarkable student.
“These awardees are inspiring,” said Luft. “They are dedicated learners, leaders, and innovators committed to ensuring a diverse, talented, and knowledgeable citizenry and workforce for the 21st century.” With these awardees, the future of science education looks promising and secure.
