Another eventful week has passed in high school sports across the state, with sports reporters from the Sun Journal, Central Maine, and Press Herald covering highlights and post-game interviews. Throughout their travels, they have captured exciting moments to share with readers. Some of the videos from the past week are available for viewing.

One standout performance of the week came from Maranacook freshman pitcher Grady Hebren. He delivered a stellar performance, pitching a complete game with six strikeouts in a 4-2 win over Mount View. The Black Bears have been having a successful season, already surpassing last year’s win total.

Yarmouth senior Sam Lowenstein showed his emotion after securing a 1-0 victory over Greely. His passion for the game was evident in the hard-fought win.

The St. Dominic softball team had a quick turnaround that led to a dramatic comeback victory over Mountain Valley. A seven-run fourth inning propelled them to success, with catcher Emily Andrews and pitcher Maddie Andrews reflecting on the game.

There was a significant upset when the Cony baseball team snapped Monmouth Academy’s 21-game winning streak with a 15-8 victory. Trenton Hayward, who had a couple of hits in the game, described the win as a sweet victory for the team.
