The Safford Spotlight on Small Business event is almost here, and only a few seats remain. Taking place at the Manor 415 Convention Center on Monday, April 1st, this event offers small business owners the chance to connect with city officials and discuss how the city can better support their success.
The event will feature Safford Mayor Richard Ortega, City Manager John Cassella, and other city staff members, giving attendees the opportunity to share their thoughts on what’s working well and what could be improved. In addition to this, attendees will learn about business licensing requirements, the role of the city’s Planning and Community Development Department, and new reporting requirements for the Financial Crimes Network of the IRS.
Even seasoned small business owners may benefit from this event as Mayor Ortega highlighted that they could learn something new. The event will kick off with a continental breakfast and networking at 7 a.m., followed by a 90-minute program at 7:30 a.m.
Admission to this event is free of cost but seats must be reserved online through Eventbrite. This event is sponsored by the City of Safford, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College, and the Safford Downtown Association.
