The St. Paul and Doherty softball teams faced off in a highly anticipated game at Bob Rousseau Field in Worcester, Mass. St. Paul emerged victorious with a final score of 6-1. Bella Mara delivered an impressive performance on the mound for St. Paul, allowing only two hits and recording 16 strikeouts.
The Knights’ offense was powered by Emma Nordahl, who went 3-4 with a double, triple, RBI, and a run scored. Mara also contributed with a solo home run, while Ava Grant added an RBI of her own. On the Doherty side, Audrey Lefebvre managed a solo home run. Despite the loss, the Highlanders displayed strong defensive plays, including Tess Lee’s remarkable diving catch in right field.
With this win, St. Paul improved their record to 9-4, while Doherty now stands at 7-6. Both teams put on a competitive showing in the game, showcasing their skills and determination on the field.
