Colombia emerged as the champion of the Sucre 2024 Bolivarian Youth Games, claiming the top spot in the medal table with 73 gold, 51 silver, and 55 bronze medals, for a total of 179 medals. Venezuela finished in second place, followed by Chile. The event was broadcast live to a global audience through the Panam Sports Channel.
The youth games featured over 1,610 participants from 7 countries competing in 24 sports and 27 disciplines. Colombia put on an impressive performance, dominating the competition and securing the top spot on the medal table with their 73 gold medals.
Venezuela took second place with 63 gold medals, while Chile finished in third with 30 gold medals. The competition showcased talented athletes from all participating countries, with Colombia excelling in sports like Archery, Squash, Boxing, Judo, Road Cycling, Artistic Gymnastics, Tennis, and Athletics.
The Sucre 2024 Bolivarian Youth Games concluded with the Wrestling competition, followed by the Closing Ceremony at the Aniceto Arce Ex Station at 6:30 p.m. (Bolivia time). The ceremony featured the traditional parade of delegations, performances by local artists, speeches from officials, and the extinguishing of the Bolivarian Fire of the Cauldron, culminating in artistic shows by Cumbaros, Esencia, and Zona Pública.
