Troup County Introduces State-of-the-Art LED Sports Lighting System at Callaway Stadium

The Troup County Board of Commissioners recently announced the completion of a lighting upgrade project at Callaway Stadium. The project involved removing the original lighting system and installing a new LED stadium and field lighting system, which will provide a brighter and more evenly distributed light on the playing surface. This upgrade was funded by SPLOST 6 and includes new foundations, poles, bracket mounting arms, LED lights, light racks, and new electrical and control systems.

The new LED lighting system at Callaway Stadium is a major improvement for the community, as it is the first lighting upgrade since 1958. The new lights are brighter and more efficient than the old ones, and they have improved visibility on the field and around the stadium with only 4 poles instead of 8.
