The annual COSI Science Festival is set to begin tomorrow, with a series of community events leading up to the main event, the Big Science Celebration on May 4. This festival takes place on the Scioto Peninsula surrounding COSI and promises to be an exciting day of learning and discovery.
The Big Science Celebration features over 100 exhibitor stations, each run by STEAM professionals from local organizations such as Ohio State University, Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Attendees can learn about a variety of topics, from insects to aerospace, through engaging displays and demonstrations.
Among the many exhibits at the Science Celebration this year, a few stand out as particularly intriguing. The National Veterans Memorial and Museum will explore Washington’s Spy Ring and Invisible Ink, while New Albany High School will showcase their Robotics Club and Rocketry Club. Other exhibits include Roto’s Cardboard Columbus creation activity, The Boeing Company’s Aerospace Manufacturing display, and the Ohio History Connection’s presentation on Ohio’s playful past.
