She used a classroom projector to show North Carolina from space, emphasizing the significance of her home state in her journey. Koch highlighted the impact of her education in public schools in North Carolina, from middle school in Jacksonville to attending North Carolina State University.

Governor Cooper emphasized the importance of investing in public schools in North Carolina during an upcoming budget proposal to the State Assembly. He stressed that supporting education is essential for the state to maintain its status as a leader in business and technology. Cooper urged legislators to prioritize funding for schools to ensure the continued development of the state’s workforce.
