Caitlin Clark, the NCAA’s all-time Division I scoring leader, has received an invitation to participate in the U.S.A. Basketball national team training camp during the Final Four in Cleveland. The condition is that Iowa’s season must be over. As a member of the 2021 under-19 squad and having won three gold medals with U.S.A. Basketball junior teams, Clark is expected to be a significant draw for college basketball, with almost 5 million viewers tuning in to watch the Hawkeyes in their second-round match against West Virginia.
The training camp will feature nine former Olympians, including Diana Taurasi, Ariel Atkins, Chelsea Gray, Brittney Griner, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson, and Jackie Young.
